Assembly Speaker Öztürkler issues condolence message for Uludağ – BRTK

Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Ziya Öztürkler has issued a condolence message following the passing of journalist and writer Sevgül Uludağ.

Öztürkler said that throughout her professional career, Uludağ left a lasting mark on the history of the Turkish Cypriot press through her work, adding that her investigative journalism, particularly her research into missing persons, made a significant contribution to uncovering the truth.

He noted that Uludağ shared the pain of many families who had spent years waiting for news of their loved ones and demonstrated an exemplary sense of conscience and responsibility that kept their hopes alive.

Öztürkler said she would always be remembered with respect for her contributions to upholding humanitarian values.
