Bu buzulun \u00e7\u00f6kmesi halinde k\u00fcresel deniz seviyelerinin yakla\u015f\u0131k 65 santimetre y\u00fckselmesi bekleniyor.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lar, buzun alt\u0131na ula\u015fmak i\u00e7in 80 dereceye kadar \u0131s\u0131t\u0131lan y\u00fcksek bas\u0131n\u00e7l\u0131 suyla, 30 santimetre \u00e7ap\u0131nda ve yakla\u015f\u0131k bin metre derinli\u011finde bir sondaj deli\u011fi a\u00e7may\u0131 ba\u015fard\u0131. Bu sayede, buzulu besleyen ana g\u00f6vdenin alt\u0131ndan ilk kez do\u011frudan \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcmler al\u0131nd\u0131. \u00d6l\u00e7\u00fcmler, buz taban\u0131nda yo\u011fun t\u00fcrb\u00fclans ve erimeyi h\u0131zland\u0131rabilecek g\u00f6rece s\u0131cak okyanus sular\u0131n\u0131n varl\u0131\u011f\u0131na i\u015faret etti.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ancak as\u0131l hedef olan ve iki y\u0131la kadar buzun alt\u0131nda kal\u0131p uyduyla veri iletmesi planlanan sabit \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcm sistemi, sondaj deli\u011finden indirilirken s\u0131k\u0131\u015ft\u0131. Bilim insanlar\u0131na g\u00f6re delik, a\u015f\u0131r\u0131 so\u011fuk ve buzuldaki h\u0131zl\u0131 hareket nedeniyle donmu\u015f ya da deforme olmu\u015f olabilir. Thwaites Buzulu\u2019nun baz\u0131 b\u00f6lgelerinde g\u00fcnde 9 metreye varan hareketler kaydediliyor.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>PROJE \u0130PTAL ED\u0130LD\u0130<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Yakla\u015fan k\u00f6t\u00fc hava ko\u015fullar\u0131, azalan s\u0131cak su kaynaklar\u0131 ve ara\u015ft\u0131rma gemisi Araon\u2019un Antarktika\u2019dan ayr\u0131lma takvimi nedeniyle ikinci bir sondaj a\u00e7mak m\u00fcmk\u00fcn olmad\u0131. Sonu\u00e7 olarak \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcm sistemi buzun alt\u0131nda b\u0131rak\u0131ld\u0131 ve proje tamamen iptal edildi.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Her ne kadar g\u00f6rev nihai hedefini ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirememi\u015f olsa da ekip elde edilen verilerin son derece de\u011ferli oldu\u011funu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcyor. Daha \u00f6nce 2022\u2019de yap\u0131lan bir giri\u015fimde b\u00f6lgeye dahi ula\u015f\u0131lamam\u0131\u015ft\u0131.
